Tamil Nadu CM says police fired in self-defence, toll goes up to 13
Even as the death toll in police firing on anti-Sterlite protesters in Tuticorin went up to 13 on Thursday, Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami affirmed that police had followed procedures as per law before opening fire.
